What's It Like Interning at Robinhood?

Hey there! I wanted to take some time to document and share my experience interning at Robinhood this past summer. From navigating the interview process to delivering my final presentation on my last day, it's been a crazy journey that I'm excited to reflect on and share.

For some context, I was an iOS intern on the accounts team, where I had the privilege of working under my very hard-working manager Gokhan and alongside my wonderful mentor Sam.

Interview Process

I honestly really enjoyed the overall interview process at Robinhood—especially for iOS since there are no typical Leetcode questions. Rather, they ask practical questions that involve using Swift/UIKit and building small apps and such. I found this to be MUCH more enjoyable than coding up random algorithms that I know I will never use ever in my career.

As of 2025, I had to do a recruiter call, followed by a 1 hour technical phone screen, and finally 2 hour-long back-to-back interviews in which the first was technical and the second was behavioral.

The process was quick and all of my interviewers were really laid-back, but also invested in the problem. I actually had something urgent come up the day of one of my final-round interviews and my recruiter got it scheduled again super quickly. Not only that, but my assigned interviewer even texted to check in on me, which I thought was super kind and I apprecieted a lot.

Overall, the interivew process was smooth, the people were great, and the questions were practical.
